Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive BOI Specialist with expertise in Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI) regulations and fluency in Chinese language. The successful candidate will oversee BOI-related applications, compliance, and reporting, ensuring that the company maximizes incentives and remains fully compliant with Thai investment regulations. This role requires the ability to work independently, act as the key liaison with BOI authorities, and communicate effectively with Chinese management teams and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all BOI applications, renewals, amendments, and reporting in compliance with BOI regulations.
- Act as the main contact with the BOI office, government agencies, and auditors on matters related to investment privileges.
- Support new BOI project submissions for manufacturing expansion, machinery import, and workforce approvals.
- Ensure compliance with import duty exemptions, corporate tax privileges, and VAT refund processes.
- Prepare and maintain BOI-related documentation, including machinery lists, raw material reports, and utilization records.
- Coordinate with the finance, HR, logistics, and production teams to ensure all BOI conditions are properly implemented.
- Provide management with updates and advice on BOI laws, regulations, and incentives.
- Communicate with Chinese-speaking management and external stakeholders to ensure clarity and smooth processes.
- Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance and readiness for BOI inspections.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Accounting, International Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in BOI-related work (applications, reporting, compliance).
- Chinese language proficiency (spoken and written) is required; English proficiency is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of BOI laws, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of import/export, taxation, and labor-related BOI conditions.
- Excellent organizational and document management skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
