Job Description:

The Offshore Electronic Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and electrical systems on offshore platforms or vessels. They ensure all electronic equipment operates reliably and safely to support operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electrical systems, including control, communication, and safety equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic devices and instrumentation.
  • Read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Document maintenance and repair actions accurately in logs and reports.
  • Support commissioning and decommissioning of electronic systems.
  • Support equipment calibration, configuration, and testing procedures.
  • Respond promptly to electrical/system failures to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other technical team members to diagnose complex issues.
  • Assist in safety inspections and participate in safety drills.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • This position is open to Thai Nationals only
  • Previous offshore experience in the Gulf of Thailand preferred
  • Relevant trade or technical certifications in electronics, instrumentation, or electrical systems.
  • Prior experience in offshore or industrial electronic maintenance preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, automation, and communication systems.
  • Ability to read electrical, control, and instrumentation drawings and schematics.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, including working with high voltage or hazardous equipment.
  • Valid offshore safety certifications (such as BOSIET, HUET, OGEP) required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment:

  • Work on offshore drilling rigs or production platforms.
  • Rotation 28/28 or 28/14 depending on drilling activity.
  • Exposure to harsh weather conditions and safety risks.
  • Strict adherence to safety and communication standards.

Contract worker (Permanently assigned to rig). 7-12 Months contract.
