Job Description:
The offshore radio operator is responsible for maintaining reliable communication systems and ensuring effective communication between the offshore platform and onshore facilities, vessels, and emergency services. They manage radio equipment, handle distress signals, and facilitate smooth communication to support offshore operations safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain all radio communication equipment on the offshore platform.
- Ensure clear, accurate, and timely communication between the platform, vessels, and onshore offices.
- Monitor radio channels and respond promptly to incoming calls and distress signals.
- Record all radio communications in logs, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Assist in emergency communication procedures, including evacuations and incident reporting.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of radio and communication systems.
- Coordinate communication during critical operations, drills, and safety checks.
- Maintain knowledge of operational procedures, emergency protocols, and relevant regulations.
- Ensure all communication equipment functions properly and report malfunctions for repairs.
- Support other safety and operational personnel as needed for effective communication.
Qualifications and Skills:
- This position is open to Thai Nationals only
- Previous offshore experience in the Gulf of Thailand preferred
- Holds a valid GMDSS License
- Previous experience as a radio or communication operator preferred.
- Knowledge of marine and offshore communication systems and protocols.
- Good understanding of emergency communication procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid offshore safety certifications such as BOSIET/T-BOSIET, HUET, and offshore medical
- Ability to work shifts in a remote offshore environment.
- Calm and professional demeanor in emergency situations.
Work Environment:
- Work on offshore drilling rigs or production platforms.
- Rotation 28/28 or 28/14 depending on drilling activity.
- Exposure to harsh weather conditions and safety risks.
- Strict adherence to safety and communication standards.

Overview
The Offshore Radio Operator เจ้าหน้าที่วิทยุประจำแท่นขุดเจาะมีหน้าที่ดูแลและรักษาความพร้อมของระบบสื่อสารทั้งหมดบนแท่นขุดเจาะหรือแท่นผลิตกลางทะเล เพื่อให้การติดต่อสื่อสารระหว่างแท่นกับฝั่ง เรือสนับสนุน และหน่วยงานฉุกเฉิน เป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ถูกต้อง และปลอดภัยตลอดเวลา เพื่อสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานนอกชายฝั่งให้ราบรื่นและปลอดภัยสูงสุด
(Key Responsibilities) หน้าที่ความรับผิดชอบหลัก:
- ปฏิบัติงานและดูแลอุปกรณ์สื่อสารและระบบวิทยุทั้งหมดบนแท่นขุดเจาะให้พร้อมใช้งานอยู่เสมอ
- สื่อสารข้อมูลระหว่างแท่นขุดเจาะ เรือสนับสนุน และสำนักงานฝั่งอย่างถูกต้อง รวดเร็ว และชัดเจน
- ตรวจสอบและรับสัญญาณวิทยุจากช่องความถี่ที่กำหนด รวมถึงตอบกลับการติดต่อหรือสัญญาณฉุกเฉินทันที
- บันทึกรายการสื่อสารทางวิทยุทั้งหมดตามระเบียบและข้อกำหนดของบริษัท
- สนับสนุนการสื่อสารในกรณีฉุกเฉิน เช่น เหตุการณ์อุบัติเหตุ การอพยพ หรือเหตุการณ์ความปลอดภัยอื่น ๆ
- ตรวจสอบ ทดสอบ และแก้ไขปัญหาเบื้องต้นของระบบสื่อสารอย่างสม่ำเสมอ
- ประสานงานด้านการสื่อสารระหว่างการปฏิบัติงานสำคัญ การฝึกซ้อม และการตรวจความปลอดภัย
- รายงานและประสานงานกับช่างซ่อมบำรุงเมื่อพบอุปกรณ์สื่อสารชำรุดหรือขัดข้อง
- ศึกษาและปฏิบัติตามขั้นตอนการทำงาน มาตรการความปลอดภัย และระเบียบด้านการสื่อสารของแท่นขุดเจาะ
- ให้การสนับสนุนด้านการสื่อสารแก่หน่วยงานอื่น ๆ บนแท่นตามความจำเป็น
(Qualifications & Skills) คุณสมบัติและทักษะที่ต้องการ:
- รับสมัครเฉพาะผู้มีสัญชาติไทย (Thai Nationals only)
- มีประสบการณ์ทำงาน Offshore ในอ่าวไทย (Gulf of Thailand) จะได้รับการพิจารณาเป็นพิเศษ
- ใบอนุญาต: มีใบอนุญาต GMDSS (จำเป็น)
- มีใบรับรองความปลอดภัยและใบแพทย์สำหรับงาน Offshore (BOSIET/T-BOSIET, HUET, Offshore Medical)
- มีประสบการณ์ในงานเจ้าหน้าที่วิทยุ หรือเจ้าหน้าที่สื่อสาร จะได้รับการพิจารณาเป็นพิเศษ
- มีความรู้ด้านระบบสื่อสารทางทะเลและระบบ GMDSS เป็นอย่างดี
- เข้าใจขั้นตอนการสื่อสารในภาวะฉุกเฉินและกฎระเบียบที่เกี่ยวข้อง
- มีทักษะการสื่อสาร การประสานงาน และการบันทึกข้อมูลอย่างละเอียดรอบคอบ
- สามารถทำงานในสภาวะกดดันได้ดี และรักษาความสงบเยือกเย็นในสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉิน
- สามารถทำงานในสภาพแวดล้อมนอกชายฝั่งและระบบการทำงานแบบหมุนเวียน (rotation)
(Work Environment) สภาพแวดล้อมการทำงาน:
- ปฏิบัติงานบนแท่นขุดเจาะหรือแท่นผลิตกลางทะเล
- ระบบหมุนเวียนการทำงาน 28/28 หรือ 28/14 (ขึ้นอยู่กับกิจกรรมการขุดเจาะ)
- ต้องทำงานในสภาพอากาศและสิ่งแวดล้อมที่อาจรุนแรง
- ต้องปฏิบัติตามมาตรการด้านความปลอดภัยและมาตรฐานการสื่อสารอย่างเคร่งครัด
- ลักษณะสัญญาจ้าง: พนักงานสัญญาจ้าง (ประจำแท่นขุดเจาะ) ระยะเวลา 7–12 เดือน
